91 - Red & Leopard

Another outfit for you! This one I wore last week to our end of term party for us Women's and Gender Studies students! It was a lot of fun! We had a potluck, punch, and a button maker!

I wore this outfit, and it actually features two of my favourite recent purchases. The red cardigan is from City Chic, and I picked it up during their amazing 60% sale last month. It fits like a dream and is made of a lovely heavy knit, so it keeps its shape well. It is also the best shade of red because it is blue based! I can't wear warm colours at all.

The leopard print dress is from Asos Curve and is still available in a 26 in their clearance section. The second it went on sale I grabbed one, I've had my eye on it for ages, but I never pay full price for anything. It runs quite large - lately I've been having problems with their fit, so I usually just default to a 26 now to make sure, but this dress is very roomy. I probably could fit in a 20 comfortably, so if you are larger than a 26 and would like this dress - do it! It'll definitely fit you. It is a lovely fabric, and drapes perfectly. It hits me right at the waist, and has ties, so I can pull it in to cinch my waist a little more. It's also a fantastic length on me as it hits right above the knee, which means I can wear tights and not show the colour change on the thigh. I have such a problem with how short dresses from Asos are. I know at 5'8.5" I am taller than the average woman, but seriously, it's not a lot to ask that dresses at least cover my bum you know? I prefer mine knee length too, because I feel way less self conscious, and could probably wear them without tights when it gets warmer. So yes, this dress is pretty much perfect all around!

Also, here is one of the buttons I made! It's perfect.

We are going out tonight, but I'm stumped on what to wear. Hopefully I can come up with something good, then I can snap some OOTDs. I am so excited to finally have the time again to blog! :)

Red & leopard look fabulous on you, as does the shorter length of this dress. I'm sure you were the most stylish person at the school party.

This is so cute. I always go for purple and gold when I wear leopard print. But I am def. going to try this color combo! You're super cute as always!

Thanks! It's back to black now though. The blonde was so hard to upkeep and four months was long enough for that, so I dyed it back last week.
